iPhone/iPad delete multiple photos – how to

With the ability to snap a million pictures anytime you want, it is easy to accumulate a lot of pictures on your iDevice. I am often asked if there is an easier way to delete photos. There is. This is for the photos NOT synced with your iPhoto images using iTunes. This IS for any picture you snapped or saved with your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad using iOS 4.2.

After selecting Photos, you will need to select the images you want to delete by selecting Camera Roll / Places etc. Now to select and delete more than one photo at a time, select the Icon in the upper right hand corner ( I have marked with a red star ).

Now, just tap the photos that you want to delete. You will be able to select more than one at a time.

In this shot I have selected 12 photos.

Here I have selected 331 photos. If you are SURE you want to delete the selected photos, just tap the Delete (red) button in the lower right hand corner. You will be asked “Delete Selected Items” ? Just tap the button(red) and you have deleted the photos.

Hope you find this useful!
