Battery Woes

Well, I have exchanged my phone as the battery was going dead very quickly. I was having to cradle it several times a day. That’s even with it tethered at times while I was debugging my different Apps I am working on. So, I backed it up and headed to the Apple store(after setting up an appointment on-line). I arrived and they checked it out and verified the battery was toast.

I have to say, it was a great experience at the store. The people were polite and very efficient. My only concern was they said that one of the four “got wet” indicators showed that it had been exposed to water. Hmmm. I am very careful about that. They said no problem, and exchanged it. I got to “wipe it” at the store and they gave me a new one. They swapped the sim card and I was on my way.

Now I will do a restore and then redo the profiles on the developer site and see what happens. So far, so good.

Well, I got home, did a restore and then a sync and everything was back to normal. I had to put the passwords in for my various e-mail accounts and re-do my profiles with Apple for my Apps I am working on (different phone id). Other than the charging it got during the restore and sync process, I haven’t charged it yet (over 24 hrs). Much better.

While this process isn’t anything anyone would want to do, it was painless. I have to say Apple did a great job with something that could have been ugly.

2009 Mustang GT 500

Well, we have had the pleasure of doing another performance upgrade. Nice car!

We changed the pulley on the supercharger, changed the air filter assembly, put Ford Racing mufflers on it and re-flashed it. We also modified the suspension and then took it over to the Dyno at Marysville Speed n’ Custom. We ended up with 550 horsepower at the rear wheels and 531 lbs. of torgue (notice the torque curve on the dyno sheet!). This is currently adjusted for pump gas.

We are currently changing out the driveline. Just that alone according to Cam at Marysville Speed n’ Custom, adds about 10 HP (this is what he has seen on previous pulls on the dyno). Take a peek (still adding all the info) at www.bickford.net/svt
